Joint Pain Joint is connection between two bones and helps in movement of body part. A typical joint is composed of bones that are separated by cartilages that serve as a cushion pad for adjacent bones. Ligaments attach bones to each other and tendons attach the bones to muscles around the joint.

Injury or disease to any structure can lead to joint pain. It is also called as arthralgia.Swelling, tenderness, local warmth, and off course pain , not able to move part out of pain which gets aggravated by weight activity or pressure are symptoms pointing towards the join pain or arthralgia.

Sonth

Sonth is very well known in India. It is basically dry ginger powder. Ginger has anti-inflammatory and anti microbial properties which helps in giving relief from pain. Ginger contains gingerols and zingibain that helps in suppressing inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandins; which are responsible for inflammation.

It also suppresses substances that cause pain. Sonth is very warm in nature, so should be taken precaution while taking in summer. Take one tablespoon of sonth powder with warm milk (advisable with milk only not with water) daily before going to bed. It helps in reducing  joint inflammation and infection.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has anti microbial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and immune system modulator qualities. Rub the nutmeg oil to joints and is very useful for treating joint pains and sore, as it is an excellent sedative. It also helps in reducing swelling. You may also consume nutmeg powder with milk before going to bed. It also stimulates sleep.

Turmeric

Turmeric contains curcumin, which has anti bacterial, anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. It is very effective remedy for joint pains, sore joints and arthritis.

Garlic

It is known since long for giving relief from joint pain due to its anti-inflammatory nature. It also has anti microbial properties. Consume Garlic cloves 2-3 in a day with water. You may also include it in your diet. If your diet is full of garlic then also you are not wrong. You may also consume the garlic capsules of 500 mg per day. Applying garlic paste on affected area also makes the bone strong and helps in relief from pain.
