So what if you can’t get breast milk? Switch to the next possible alternative; fresh goat or cow milk. Opt for raw goat/cow milk and not processed varieties. Like breast milk, cow/goat milk contains plenty of probiotics that can help fight off the pathogens causing pink eye.
Applying a few drops of the fresh milk to the infected area in the eye can reduce the infection and offer extended relief from the pain and swelling caused by pink eye. Potato contains astringent properties that can be considered very effective in the treatment of pink eye. Placing a slice of raw potato on the infected eye can reduce the swelling and discomfort caused by pink eye. Remove the slice after 20 minutes and replace it with another fresh slice.
